Breathing Exercise that Can Get You Off To Sleep In Just 60 Seconds
View Comments
But Andrew Weil, a Harvard-trained medical doctor who focuses on holistic health (basically, he's the sort of guy you want giving you sleeping tips) reckons he has a surefire way of getting off to the land of nod in just 60 seconds. It's all about breathing.
The technique is called the 4-7-8 breathing exercise, or the 'Relaxing Breathe', and its designed to promote good sleep.

Free expression by Andrey Whyte
I want to write out my thoughts in its rawest form. Not
influenced by political correctness or literary induction. I want to imagine
the world and paint it even with the sureness of a novice heart. I am tired of
the constraint and the restriction in places where I desire freedom. My hands
and heart crave a place of uncertain truce. They want to awake into a world of
free expression. I want to write my thoughts the way they come: broken and
incomplete. I want you to find a meaning to it without complaining – no
complains about my literary capacity. I hate to be asked the meaning of what I
have written. I hope you find a meaning that applies to your reality. My
thoughts are broken in pieces you

FACEBOOK SCAMMERS - #BeWareOfFacebookScammers !!!
A lot of my friends have fallen victims of the so called yahoo and scammers online and I know that you have, or maybe a friend of yours. I, personally have had series of experience on this note. Mine was with series of guys, I would say, who pretended to be ladies. I don't know why I didn't fall for their well-painted benefits but I believe it all balls down to my prior knowledge of these scammers. The prior knowledge, amongst other things, helped me off their list of victims.
I remember receiving a mail from one of these persons on facebook. It reads
"My name is ... I am from...my father died in the...and left me an inheritance which...I am presently in a refugee camp where I am being fed and clothed by ...."

31 DAYS OF POETRY- DAY 24- DEATH IS... - by Chika Jones
Does
death come in seasons?
Like the broken needles,
On the tongues of winded dragons?
Like the red of flowers in harmattan,
Or does it come through the hole of scarabs,
When brave young girls venture alone into the forests,
And emerge with painted hands,
I remember the lives of dead ones,
Like a kaleidoscope of ever changing sounds,
The baby's first cry,
The ratata of gunfire,
The thud of falling earth,
Ha!

20 Things Only Highly Creative People Would Understand
I enjoyed this, and I believe you would too...
There’s no argument anymore. Neuroscience confirms that highly creative people think and act differently than the average person. Their brains are literally hardwired in a unique way. But that gift can often strain relationships. I’ve seen it firsthand while working with New York Times bestselling authors and Grammy-winning musicians.
If you love a highly creative person, you probably experience moments when it seems like they live in a completely different world than you. Truth is, they do. But trying to change them isn’t nearly as effective as trying to understand them.
It all begins by seeing the world through their lens and remembering these 20 things:

It all begins by seeing the world through their lens and remembering these 20 things:
1. They have a mind that never slows down.
The creative mind is a non-stop machine fueled by intense curiosity. There is no pause button and no way to power it down. This can be exhausting at times but it is also the source of some crazy fun activities and conversations. Read onMonday, 20 July 2015

Etcetera Writes ''Dear Nigerian Women..Why Men Cheat''
When you heard the news that Toke Makinwa’s husband impregnated his girlfriend, you all took to social media to rain insults on Nigerian men. Why men cheat on women they love became a topic for all female radio presenters in the country. Aren’t you all tired of asking the same question over and over as if it is some perplexing unfathomable mystery?
Your question is rhetorical, but since it keeps coming up again and again, let me provide some explanations to help you understand the reasons. I will simply tell it like it is, with no bull, tact, or political correctness. It’s just that oftentimes; women do not accept the explanations. But in fact, one can understand it through common sense. Sometimes a man would cheat on his wife or girlfriend because he doesn’t love her anymore; he is bored with her, or even possibly unhappy with their relationship.
In such scenarios, even women can

Mommy wants you to get married right?
So Sunday was a great day for me and a whole lot of you too. I enjoyed the service and the after-church meetings. As usual, there are three services of which I recently started attending just the second and third because I needed more time for rest after the week's up-and-down journeying, especially Saturday's hustling and bustling.
I have been away from home for a while now and since this year began, I haven't seen my mom, so yesterday, being the only day I am usually free from every work there is, I wanted to see mommy, so I left church for a bit and hurried home to see her. As I got off the Okada, Mommy wouldn't stop singing ''baba oyoyo.'' I, on the other hand couldn't stop laughing. She really did miss me. I sat next to her and we got talking about stuffs.
We talked about a lot: how her business has been, how my trip to Benin went, how my siblings are fairing and how the neighbours are treating her and a whole lot of other things mothers would always talk about.

Let's lose some weight...
JOGGING |
So I went out today for a jog and found a friend. So it was fun today, unlike it was the other Saturday I was out. We enjoyed jogging. We met friends, obviously, we weren't on the road alone. We had other friends who came out to tear down the obvious wall of fat. By obvious, I mean it in every sense you could think of. I and my friend aren't that fat but we saw a couple of others who got our attention.
You probably have been out for a jog too and couldn't stop asking when you saw that lady or that man, who was out as you. He/She came out to lose some weight.
You couldn't stop asking what they were doing when they turned out this fat.
I saw the lady and I kept asking, as if she was supposed to read my mind and just magically, maybe somehow, she'd hear the question and just answer.
How did you get this fat?
You sit behind a desk from Monday till Friday and you think you are enjoying; maybe because there is an Air conditioner that keeps your body temperature cool and you realize only how fast the time runs. Your breathing becomes heavier and after a little work, you find yourself breathing heavily. You really need to get your body worked on. Hit the road on your foot in case you still at this point do not understand what I meant when I said JOG.
So she came past us and we turned to behold the enormous fat that graced her behind.
I made a vow being that ''no matter what it takes, I was going to inculcate the habit of working-out into my kids and my wife too and I think you too should.
Scientifically, and I believe you know this, it has been proven that exercising the body helps in preventing the body system from hibernating; preventing heart problems and also pulmonary congestion. Jogging has been proven to be the best exercise anyone could have. And it is affordable. Just wake up in the morning and out you go.
Encourage someone today to #HitTheRoad

Make more mistakes!
Make Mistakes |
I often advice teenagers to always try whatever idea that comes to their mind. No matter how hard it appears, they should strive to hit hard at it.
Teenagers are scared to make mistakes and this is one of the problems they face.
Mistakes have been seen by parents as unacceptable and every force there is, has been put into ensuring that those mistakes do not surface in any way. Though, this is adviceable and necessary in trying to inculcate the ''Do it Right'' mentality in the child but this young lads, overtime, have misunderstood the purpose for correction and mistakes. Now children/teenagers are scared of making mistakes and this have driven them into a boring life, where they are scared to make any effort simply because they feel they'd be scolded when they do not get it right. This mentality is the result of the ''do it right'' ideology.
Thomas Edison amongst others would always speak of how necessary it is that once makes mistakes and learn from it. Often you hear people say Rome wasn't built in a day.
Some quotes by Thomas Edison
- Just because something doesn't do what you planned it to do in the first place doesn't mean it's useless....
- Results? Why, man, I have gotten lots of results! If I find 10,000 ways something won't work, I haven't failed. I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is often a step forward.... Continue Reading
