Part 2 - WHAT SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE DO TO SUCCEED



4. EVOLVE

One thing people are scared of, is change. Change is inevitable. The fear that comes as a result of change is an illusion - it doesn't exist. Change doesn't harm those that are open minded about it. It only hurts those that are scared to indulge it. Those in their comfort zone never become successful at what they do. They repeat patterns and often become complacent and depressed from having a certain kind of result. But one should not repeat a pattern of doing things and expect a uniquely different result. 1 + 1 is always 2. You do not expect do have a different answer from that sum.
What does it mean to evolve?  
Evolving means to put a determined step into becoming different and better at what you do or something new. Evolving involves learning new ways of doing things. It means acquiring skills that better help you achieve that goals that you have set your heart at. 
Let's say you want to be a best selling author. You have to go out and get mentors and follow through on their instructions. You have to take courses online. Download videos that unravel and answer those questions lurking in the corners of your mind. And for one who wants to be best at fashion designing, you have to learn how things are being done, but do not remain there. Get on with online courses. Do something different everyday. 
People are just too stagnant in the ways they do things. People want to do things the conventional way and get unconventional results. But that doesn't work. 
To get the attention of your audience, talking about whatever field you want to get into, you must research on how things are done and get on to develop systems to create your ways of doing these things - better ways of doing these things. Do not just settle for the conventional. You can be better than your peers.

5. Use the power of your imagination

Your imagination, if well put in use, can create for you whatever you want it to. It is quite easy to slide into thoughts of depression especially when things seem not to be working the way we planned. But we must know that the battle is in the mind. If we must win at whatever we do, then we must begin to think and imagine what it would feel like to actually win. This sends a signal to the universe of what your expectations are. Trust the source of this knowledge. Whatever you desire is attainably possible. The question is "how bad do you want it?" If you can imagine it, then you can have it. 
Practically, let's say you want to, in the long run, be a doctor, start imagining what it would feel like having your own hospital. Imagine you step graduating from medical school and having several medical outfit desiring you to do your internship with them for a palatable sum. Yes there are going to be resistances on the way to achieving this, but you must not be the resistance. If you clear your boat of water, then the likelihood that your boat would capsize is slim. You do not want to be the road block to your success. 
So, imagine the good things and leave the bad things out. Remember you can if you say you can!
