31 DAYS OF POETRY- DAY 18- IBADAN DOTI- by Ijalusi Samuel

Ibadan

With vast vallies and hills
Upright to ward off ancient attacks
Citadel of pacesetter.

Her streets rallies of rags and pills
Littered grounds, stinking bin tanks
Dirt guilty even scholars.
 Central reserves with refuse queue
Deciduos trees with rusted leaves
Heavily blocked drainage.

Gory dusty rusty roofs
Grungy markets with busy traders
Gubernatorial promises during campaign
Still and yet, all to no avail.

Visitors and residents of Ibadan,
The godliness of Eba Odan
Depends on you and I.
